reportedly gave a character reference for a friend given a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to distributing revenge porn.
The under-fire This Morning presenter spoke in favour of friend Ben Perryman, 29, before he received a 12-week suspended sentence and a restraining order.
Perryman posted a naked picture of his victim on social media, reported.

Schofield did not know what the reference was to be used for.

Schofield has co-hosted numerous debates about revenge porn in his 12 years on This Morning alongside Holly Willoughby.
A spokesperson for Schofield did not respond to an immediate request for comment.

Dr Tijion Esho, 40, from , now has interim conditions placed on his practice while watchdog the GMC investigates.
As the probe continues, he must be with a chaperone while with female patients.
The investigation was launched after a complaint was reportedly filed with the GMC over the star's conduct.
Dr Esho is understood to have denied any wrongdoing.

He is a celebrity doctor who has his own show and is a regular on the BBC.
A spokesperson for 膿と小便 ITV said: 'Dr Tijion Esho is not ITV This Morning's resident doctor in any capacity. He last appeared on the programme over three years ago (August 2019).
It is incorrect to suggest otherwise.'
